Growing logistics company is looking for an experienced Air/Ocean Cargo Import/Export Operations Specialist for their New York branch office.

Job Description & Requirements:

Primary duties for this position include but not limited to assisting the operations department in bookings for domestic and international freight forwarding as well as preparing the appropriate documentation for these shipments.

• Arrange domestic and international import/export shipments via air, trucking and ocean
• Assist operations department in bookings and documentation
• Maintain and cultivate customer and vendor relationships
• Follow-up with shippers and consignees to ensure quality and timeliness of shipments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic freight forwarder knowledge 
• Experience in export and import
• Ability to learn software programs quickly and adeptly
• Solid customer service skills
• Sharp organizational along with attention to detail and prioritization skills
• MS Outlook, Word, Excel
• Strong ability to handle time-sensitive issues
• Teamwork oriented

3+ years comprehensive knowledge of the Air Import and Export industry

Fluent in English

Salary: $50K-$60K plus benefits 

Work Shift: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm
