Short Order Cooks: Far Land, Inc. dba Far Land Provisions located in

Provincetown, MA on Cape Cod in Barnstable County: Temporary, Full-time, 04/01/2026-11/15/2026, 40 hours p/week, 5 days per week, days and shifts may vary, Shifts required to work are: 8am-6pm, 8am-2pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm and/or 11am-6pm. (5) Openings. Will train to prepare and cook a variety of foods that require only a short preparation time for both restaurant and off-site catering. Food preparation includes breakfast sandwiches (toasted bread, eggs, cheese, meat as requested) in the morning hours (8am-11:30am) cooked to order per established protocol on the grill. Preparation time is 10 to 15 minutes and requires the use of spatulas, knives, and other kitchen utensils as needed. Other daily food preparation includes assembling cold sandwiches, grilling hot sandwiches, preparing and portioning salads (such as garden, potato, macaroni), preparing other hot foods such as cheeseburgers, fried fish, veggie burgers, hot dogs, French fries, and daily specials. Job duties other than cooking include cleaning the work area, maintaining utensils and cooking equipment, restocking and managing supplies, dating and rotating perishables. Food preparation equipment and supplies include flat top grill, knives, spoons, forks, cutting boards, peelers, pots, pans, fryolator, and microwave. On-the-job training is provided. \$21.91 p/hour or \$32.87 p/hour for overtime as it may be available. Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$16.28 p/day during travel to a maximum of \$68 p/day with receipts. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer will use a single workweek for computing wages starting Monday at 12:01 am and ending Sunday at 11:59 pm and the employee will be paid on Wednesday (weekly) by company check. H-2B workers will be provided with reimbursement by company check during the first workweek for visa, visa processing and related costs, except passport costs. All deductions required by law will be deducted weekly. Lodging may be available through employer. If housing is provided by employer, employee cost for housing is \$180 per week and is paid directly by employee to employer each pay period. Housing is optional.
