Phlebotomist Job Description We're expanding our team and looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who brings both technical precision and a calm, reassuring presence to every patient interaction. You'll play a key role in specimen collection and processing, while also supporting workflow improvements and team training. Responsibilities + Perform venipunctures using straight and butterfly needles with accuracy and care. + Label, centrifuge, split, and store specimens according to test requirements. + Maintain and decontaminate equipment, and ensure proper documentation. + Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients and caregivers about procedures. + Follow physicians' orders and verify requisition forms against specimen tubes. + Package and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring proper storage and labeling. + Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings. + Respond to phone inquiries and relay lab results professionally. Essential Skills + 1+ years of experience with phlebotomy + High School Diploma or GED. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong phlebotomy technique and attention to detail. + Ability to troubleshoot and suggest workflow improvements. + Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
