Junior Associate – Financial Institutions & Consumer Finance Services

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) – Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL

Compensation: $200,000 – $250,000 base salary

Additional Compensation: Full benefits package + performance bonus

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no visa sponsorship

The Opportunity

HireNow Staffing is representing a highly regarded law firm seeking a junior-level associate (1st–3rd year) to join its Financial Institutions and Consumer Financial Services practice. This role is designed for early-career attorneys who have trained in elite environments and are prepared to contribute meaningfully to sophisticated regulatory and transactional matters impacting financial institutions.

The practice values attorneys who combine intellectual rigor with practical judgment. Candidates should be comfortable operating in regulated environments, handling complex legal issues, and working collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to perform the following core responsibilities:

• Support representation of banks, lenders, and other financial institutions in consumer financial services and regulatory matters

• Assist with analysis and interpretation of federal and state financial regulations affecting consumer finance products and services

• Draft and review memoranda, client advisories, and regulatory submissions with precision and clarity

• Conduct detailed legal research related to compliance, enforcement risk, and regulatory developments

• Assist with transactional and advisory matters involving financial institutions and consumer-facing products

• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop practical, business-oriented legal solutions

• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong attention to detail

Only candidates with substantive exposure to financial institutions or consumer finance work will be considered.

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered for interview.

• 1–3 years of law firm experience with a focus on financial institutions or consumer financial services

• Experience gained at an AmLaw 120 firm

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials

• Active bar admission in Illinois or Texas , in good standing

• Demonstrated strong analytical and legal reasoning skills

• Clear, concise legal writing ability and professional communication skills

• Direct experience advising financial institutions, banks, or lenders

• Background in banking law, consumer finance regulation, or compliance-related matters

• Exposure to regulatory frameworks affecting consumer financial products
