Position Summary

The staff accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will also be helping the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

The staff accountant should accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. An outstanding staff accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Must have excellent excel skills and Financial analytics experience. Forecasting and Bugetting is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position

• Post Journal Entries
• Print the monthly closing report and review its accuracy
• Generate monthly Financial Statements (including Balance Sheet and Income Statement) and review their accuracy.
• Prepare Financial Highlight and Analysis
• Update daily cash flow and prepare weekly cash position report
• Work with other departments on budgeting and forecasting
• Work with other offices to conduct a physical count of Fixed Assets
• Manage & Reconcile Credit Card transactions
• Provide Claim analysis, Sales analysis report for management
• Perform Bank Reconciliation and Accounts analysis
• Participate in all kinds of audits
• Maintain and file all Accounting documents such as Bank Statements, Journal entries, accounts analysis, etc.
• Additional responsibilities as requested by management

Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education

• BS degree in Accounting/Finance
• 5 Years experience in a similar role
• Has basic knowledge of AR, AP, and Inventory
• Strong in Microsoft Excel, Words, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

Physical Demands:

• Use computer/keyboard & sit throughout the day
• Use phone occasionally during the day
• Lift 5 to 10 lbs when storing/retrieving documents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
